Joshua Allen - Cinematographer

Joshua Allen is a cinematographer for all formats and genres. Raised around Los Angeles, Joshua moved to Toronto at age 11. Since graduating from York University's department of film and video, he has shot numerous short films, music videos, documentaries, and other projects. He has recently begun a foray into television and feature films since shooting Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer starring Robert Englund last summer. In his own words: "Many cinematographers can paint a pretty picture, but it takes heart to create images that go beyond appearances and evokes an emotional response in the viewer. I believe an image should be judged on how effectively it conveys the appropriate feelings to the viewer. I therefore strive to create images with heart, Images that are simply right."  Joshua currently resides in Toronto where he continues to hone his craft.
