Justin Lovell - Director

Justin Lovell is rooted with a technical background as a documentary and music video editor, Justin’s creative style emerged when he turned his passion towards visual effects and design. He worked extensively doing titling, credits, compositing and VFX on a variety of different projects (Land of the Dead, Much Music, Ford…). Justin has since branched out using his understanding of visual movement, composition and style to make him an engaging and diverse cinematographer. His selection into many festivals (Sundance, Reel Asian Film Festival, ReelWorld Film festival …) and exposure on television stations (BRAVO!, CBC, FOX, YTV, MTV…) has gained him much recognition. He has received a number of international awards (Rutger’s film festival audience choice award, Berlin Nomos Super 8 International Award…) for both his work as a cinematographer and director. Pushing himself further, Justin created framediscreet.com- a cinematography and transfer house dedicated to assisting artists & creating projects on super 8mm and 16mm film.
